As a studio flute teacher with over 40 years experience I passionately strived to understand and develop what I teach and how I teach. I believe that teaching one-to-one in a studio environment is a privilege for both the student and myself, as it provides an optimal learning environment in which to foster and encourage learning in a nurturing and holistic way.

Who Am I

Hello. I am Joanna Sullivan, a flute performance graduate of the Victorian College of Arts. I also have a Master of Music Education from the University of Queensland. I have taught flute at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and many prestigious private schools in Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. I have always performed, both as a soloist and as a member of many different ensembles, as I believe my performance skills inform my teaching ability.
